Medical training requires a delicate balance. On one hand, students need to practice their skills, however there could be significant risks to patients if mistakes were made. Most training institutions have expensive simulators, however due to their cost and high demand for a timeslot, it is difficult to spend enough time practising.

AcesoSim recognised a gap in the market for an affordable training simulator for students and professionals and came to Meso for both design and manufacturing advice.

Working to the clients' specifications, we produced  the product in a portable, briefcase-like form, allowing safe and secure transport and storage for both tools and exercises. A built-in camera simulates the lack of depth-of-field and point light source similar to real laparoscopic surgery, ensuring an experience as close to the real thing as possible.

Following the success of the product, we worked on the design of sister training product Hebe.
